Yep. They're solid and rubber coated.

I dig the S&W 39-2 and 1903 Pocket colt.

I've had a lot of jamming problems with the 39-2 in the past. I've never been able to determine what the problem is. Mechanically it looks fine and I've tried several different brands of ammo. I wonder if it could be a clip spring issue?

The Colt .32 has never been fired. My grandfather picked it up for $50, although he kicked himself for years for not picking up a second one the guy was selling. Apparently they were sequential serial numbers and may have been part of a set.

My dad inherited the rest of my grandfather's collection which includes a couple of M1 Garands, a couple of M1 Carbines, a Mini-14, a Japanese officer's Break-open revolver, a German officer's Luger, and numerous hunting rifles and shotguns.

Now I just have to put all of the parts on. I did test fit the muzzle break:

Of course, without the break, the rifle is too short to reach the holders in my safe.

Looks like your about to cut the stock off withthat compound miter saw in the second to last picture lol, nice rifle I would like to get myself one sometime with a folding stock.

That's not a bad idea.

That bipod looks a bit unstable on the CD player to... I have a nice Ding in my A.R.M.S flip up sight on my M4 carbine from putting it on a table with 110 pounds dogs walking around...

Ouch.

Actually, it was quite stable for the 30 seconds it took to take the picture. Unfortunately my workbench is a mess right now as I prepare to add on to my garage.

Is that a threaded barrel on the SU? And you live in CA? How?

The CA model comes with a threaded barrel. As long as you don't thread on a flash suppressor or integral suppressor it's okay.

New addition:

I "appropriated" one of my dad's two M1 Carbines. He still has the all original one and I have the one that my grandfather had sporterized.

Somehow or another the stock got cracked some years ago. I decided to keep the sporterized theme since it would never be all original with the receiver tapped for the scope mount.

I ditched the scope and mount. I replaced the wood sporter stock with a Ramline synthetic model. I added the Weaver rail to replace the handguard and mounted an Aimpoint clone to it.

She's all cleaned up and ready for a trip to the range now.
