So here I was this morning ready to drop $120 on two holsters, a mag pouch and an accessory kit only to have the purchase screen come up and advise that I call as there is upt to a "five week delay" on some product orders.
So I call and am told that in fact they currently have an 8 week delay on most all Kydek based holsters.

What the heck is that all about?!

The CS person gives me five dealers to call who might be holding stock including Gunsite and I call three of the larger ones including Gunsite only to be told they have nothign in stock but mag puches and the accesory kits.
What the crap is that?

I can appreciate just in time manufactuirng but this is ridiculous.

Dude, the only solution is to grow a huge ass fro and hide your pistols inside of it. No one ever suspects the fro.



On a more serious note... There's nothing worse than the whole "5* week delay" on something you want NOW. Damn them to hell.

Don't they realize people will spend as much as 6 mos. or more reviewing options and evaluating comptitor products before deciding to spend dollar one?!

I talked to one of the dealers they referred me to and he commented that he can wait as long as 12 weeks for a shipment of plain old glock OWB holsters never mind anything "special". Then he tried to upsell me on some secondary item from Wilson Combat that was $30 more and not at all what I want/need. Jeebus. :grr:
Not acceptable.

All I want is a left hand IWB 'Universal' (slide type) and a right hand IWB 'UCH' both in tactical black and a 1911 fit profile as well as an injection molded double mag carrier for IDPA and a Tek-Lok accesory kit for the IWB-U holster.
This should not be a special order type status purchase as it's standard product not even their newest stuff and wanting a lefty holster shouldn't be a big deal either as it's not like they just started nirthign lefties last month or something. Blade-tech and two of the three suppliers commented they could send me the Tek-Lok accessory kit immediately though as that and the mag holder are in stock.
I was like what am I going to do with the accessory kit to a holster I don't have in hand?!

So now I'm really annoyed after spending all this time to do research and cost justifcations as I'm at the point where okay here's my credit card ship my shit. I can wait a week even two, but 8 weeks is ridiculous. When I ordered my then custom contoured Blade-Tech OWB holster for the GSR that took damn near 5 months to arrive. I'd forgotten I had even ordered it once the thing finally arrived. Of course they billed me upfront for it though.

Hahhahah.. I feel your pain though... I've had this happen to me a number of times. Frustrating as hell.

I feel your pain, I don't understand how companies operate this way.

I had a similar issue when I got a pair of shotguns a few months ago. My FFL's distributer couldn't get them shipped, when we called the manufacture they told us thay only made a limited run as of yet and shipped them all to Cabelas' ;whose price was almost 200$ higherper gun; and the distro's wouldn't see a single gun for at least 2 months. So I had to wait and wait and wait

Janq call this shop, I got my blade tech holster from them. They have a wall of Blade Tech stuff.

Or let me know if you need me to kick a door down at blade tech. I live about 10mins from blade tech HQ

Indeed. I personally would stop, drop my jaw, and stand stupified if I was arguing with someone and they pull a pistol out of their hair. Kind of like that Family Guy episode where Peter had that bird living in his beard. But instead of a bird, it would be a pitsol.
