We all know of HK's G-11 prototype, but what about other caseless rifle models out there?

I was just playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox, and there is a weapon in there called the CRYE MC-R (Modular Caseless Rifle). I went to CRYE's website (it's a real company), but all the info they have on the MC-R is a few pictures. Does anyone know anything else about this rifle?

Is there a working prototype? Plans for production? It's a really beautiful weapon, so my interest has been peaked, severely.

Well Crye is the same peopel that manufactured Multicam. The only thing they have that's real to date is tactical gear and fabric.

The MR-C and other weapons being designed by Crye are conceptual only at this point.

Everything you wanted to know about the HK G11 (well most on 1 page) is here (Including vids):

Keep in mind, we're talking it was developed in the late 70's, early 80's, so when Adlers says a dead project, It's been dead a long time now.
Notice the form factor then look up the later developed OICW.
Some stuff was learned form the G11 development. some stuff wasn't ;)

There is the MetalStorm project. Which stacks projectiles adn in some configruations can be considered "caseless". It's pretty neat concept where is stacks multiple bullets and charges in-line in the barrel and electronically fires them off in order.

Assault rilfe (AUG) version here:
