The WASR's work, there cheap and almost all aftermarket parts fit on them, its that simple.

I like mine in 7.62X39 never fails and all mags I have ever tried includeing my 75 round drum fit and feed great.

Yeah Romys work fine. Another one to lok at are Vector AKs. Only bad things on Romys are the trigger slap and sometimes sloppy mag fit.

So do you guys think the 5.45x39 is possibly a more superior round to the 7.62x39...accuracy wise, because I really wont be trying to kill anything with it so stopping power isnt an issue

Its a hell of a stoping round.. but not everyone has the ammo for it, but you can find it for a good price. I think I may a 74 sometime soon along with an AMD-65...

Everyone get these weapons when you still can!!!

Yeah a Tapc trigger set usually fixes the slap. Only bad thing I saw on mine was all the wood cracked. But its all good now. Got some Kraut bakelite on it.
