I may be able to get a bushmaster ar 15 with 8 clips and a 20inch barrel for 500 bucks.
Is this a good buy? What do i need to look out for? Ive been wanting an ak or an ar for a long time, but never really had the budget for one.... but i may not be able to pass this up

No thats a good deal, all depends on how much use the rifle has but even if it is well used thats a good deal.

One thing that bugs me... There NOT clips there MAGS! lol

yeah i know... just say it out of habit hearing everyone else say it, a clip is the little metal thing that goes cliiiiing when an m-1 garand runs out

spend whatever else you have left over on cleaning supplies cause them ARs is dirty.

... Its not that bad.... You wipe it out with a rag and clean the barrel and its done. I know the gun "shits where it eats" but its not a jam-o-matic like veryone makes it out to be. I run a thousand rounds without a jam sometimes.

Well my colt makes it to about 400 before she starts being a bastard. Some work well and some dont. Brucies AR used to be a real big POS till he got a new uper if I recall.

Either way that would be a pretty good deal if it is in good condition.

I used to load m-16's mags all the time with clips.

all i know is 240rds. of WWB 55 grain had some nice caked carbon all over the bolt.

not to mention he himself decided that it was a poor design.

Stoner 63 was his best design. AR is only good with a short stroke piston.

Never had trouble with all three AR's I owned at one time... I use all old parts (Found DPMS to be the best parts) and I dont clean them as as well as I should after fireing a thousand or so rounds. Only trouble I ever have is the mag lips after lots of use and a crack on the hammer catch. So thats why I never understand what everyones talking about when it comes to all of them always jamming... I know it happens but never had the chance to mess with one that did as much as everyone talks about, and yes I do shoot alot of other peoples AR's.

My friends Bushmaster Did jam a fair amount but I put in a rubber buffer around the extractor spring and a new stronger buffer spring and it runs great.


Here you anti AR guys... Try this out. There in both my AR-15A2 and M4.
