Alright, I'm trying to set up my Kel-Tec SU-16CA to be a dual purpose gun and need some help finding a part. Right now my gun is set up for quick target aquisition quasi-tactical with a RedDot and an M3 flashlight attached to the foreend rail. Now I also want to be able to run a taget/varmint hunting set-up, so I ordered a 6x ulluminated scope and would like to mount up a bi-pod. I want this to be easy to change (<2 minutes) so I want to find a foldable bi-pod (harris style) that I can mount to the picatinny 1913/Weaver rail on my foreend. Any ideas?

Good timing Chris - I juts put this on last night. It's a Caldwell bipod ($49, but can be had for less on ebay) witha Fobus/First Samco quick release adapter ($22). The bipod cants and rotates and mounts to any sling stud. The Fobus adapter has the sling stud and converts it to Pic/Weaver.

Whoa, thanks Egan! That's EXACTLY what I'm looking for. It's kind of creapy but you are running the exact same setup I will be minus my muzzle brake. I just ordered a scope that looks nearly identical (I'm sure it's probably a different model though) and I too am using the Bushy mags. How do you like the bi-pod? I think I'll order one tonight. Also, where did you buy the items from?

My scope is a Leapers 3-12x44. I have a muzzle break too, but I'm not going to put it on until after I put more rounds through the rifle.

I got my Caldwell off of ebay, so you'll have to search around for that one on your own. Midway does have some in stock: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=132109

The adapter (part# BP) I got from http://www.uws.com/SAMCO/HomePage.html . I also picked up a mag coupler from them at the same time.

I really like my versipod, its just like a parker hale... I have the weaver adapter on there, and it just unscrews with that big knob with the sling atachment dangling,, it comes off in 2 seconds. The bipod is held onto that block by a lever thats even faster.

The nice thing about this bipod is those rubber boots on the feet, whoa! shooting is so easy off things like car hoods,, and its ability to manuver any angle u want.

Nice AKs. Thanks for the input guys, especially you egan. I got all the parts in today and set her up. Leapers 6x lighted scope and bipod with weaver adapter. Pretty sweet setup. Less than 30 seconds from tacti-cool reddot and flashlight to varmint killer and another 30 seconds right back again.
