That serial number makes it a Winchester made M1 Carbine.
Im not a carbine expert, but the adjustable rear sight, high wood stock, bayonet lug, round bolt, and rotating safety make this a latter production carbine.
Winchester made about 14 percent of the total M1 carbines, with only Inland Division of GM making more at over 40 percent.
If it does not have import marks, the bore is good, and the stock stampings and small parts stampings match up correct for the gun, it would help the price a lot as many were overhauled and beat up.
