HAH Thats what I keep loaded in my H&K USP carry gun. They where banned because they found out they can penetrate vests. And yes they do... I shot a groin protector with it, it would have gone all the way though but I was at such an angle it could not Had only a 2 layers to go.
I keep it as my last 5 rounds in the mags in case a BG has on body armor because its so cheap now that I even have two vests, That and I like to mix things up a bit :) Not that I would ever need more than 5 rounds... even if theres 6 guys.

I would love to know what there made out of, there hard as hell.

Picture takes some time to load, give it some. Dont ask about the desk, it was a work bench then it got used for the old computer desk.

i am not sure the vest on a cardboard target test is enough to base a solid opinion on

not only that - if there isnt body armor present - the round has proven to be a poor performer to stop the threat

Nonsense. Everyone knows that cardboard has the same ballistic properties as human flesh. Don't be silly.

117 gr. is extremely light for a .45.
What muzzle velocities does it see out of a standard 5"?

Corbon 'DPX' with full copper Barnes bullet FTpenetration&retentionW.

8 hundred million feet per second.

I loves me some GDHP.

But copper bullets are nice. Make a sexy time.
