Police/air/marine snanner, my mom just sent me one as a gift (Yeah, she knows me quite well)

Its a Pro-528 triple trunking 1000 channels so on...

Basicly I know nothing about it.. Just wondering if there are any radio people out there.

You can go to radio shacks website and order cdroms with almost all of the frequencies (that are registered through fcc) in your state (most states) and the book should tell you how to program in the various stations

I know that all of the major agencies in my area just went digital, rendering my scanner useless.

I can get some police chatter but I need to take it out of this ditch I live in, my and most peopls cell phones do not even work here.
