well im interested in learning how to get a ccw...it seems to be getting worse where i live with gangs and would the ccw only be good in CA?

It will run you about $500 for 2 years. The sherrif will need to determine if your "Need" is reasonable. You may be subject to a psychological test. Ca does not recognize other state's permits, but others will accept Ca's.

There are also other rules depending on where you live.

there's only a FEW counties in CA giving permits, but they are good statewide, you have to ask the sheriff or something like that. You better get while the gettin's hot.
