i recently found out the local cops make somewhere around 4100k a month.. thats pretty good.

Here in the bay area cops start out at around 66k/y

Rent here is around $1300 for a 2 bedroom appt.

I know a guy that works in Oakland as a motorcycle cop, been on the job 10 years and makes 70k. He is trying to get a prison guard job though.

I would love to get on as a nurse at a prison or detention facility. I just don't want to have to drive for hours to get there. There's a correctional facility in a nearby county, but I can't find any information online about how to apply.

I would also love to persue a dispatch position.
If I could run without wheezing, I would've went into law enforcement in a heartbeat. I didn't find out that I couldn't run until I entered the military. LOL
I trained beforehand in CO and had no problem running - even at that altitude... Turns out that if there's any allergens in the air, I'm screwed.

What stoped me is I had torn cartlidge in both knees, a bad shoulder that loves to come out of joint, and I used to smoke 3 packs a day. So in otherwards I have had the hell kicked out me too much from fighting when I was youunger and well my lungs for a long time where half full of tar.

But I will say I quit 2 years ago(still have an occassional cigar) and MY GOD I CAN RUN WITHOUT GETTING WINDED . Well atleast until my knee starts killing me.

So intstead I went to college( originally signed up for Radio Braodcasting, but after realizing im way too opinionated to ever keep a job on radio I changed majors the week before school started) for history.

3 packs a day!? Did you constantly have a cigarette in your mouth, even in the shower?

Pretty much. They were all Camel Wides for the most part which are really 1 1/2 cigs in one.

Funny thing is when I quit(mainly cause I broke)I never had one nic fit. I cant believe I smoked for 6 years at that rate and never realy got addicted to them.

Maybe you had nic fits, but were too distracted by something else to realize you were craving? Nicotene = one of the few chemically addictive drugs...

Im going to go with pimp on this one. I really dont have an addiction tendancy. I used to be on a shitton of pain pills for my knees and never had a problem going off them as well.
