Yep.

You should join up.

It is the best DIY gunbuilding site on the web.

Here's a tease -

Damn. Not too shabby looking. I'll probably join, as I'm contemplating building an AR as opposed to buying complete.

In looking at the build log, you could do most of the bends with hardwood blocks & a vise. Then MAPP gas to braze it up. If you eliminate the FA function, you've got a pretty straightforward build. I may give this one a shot.

As an aside, anyone who wonders about the inevitability of a ban should join the every forum that shares info on DIY.

homegunsmith.com
weaponeer.net
akforum.net
gunco.net
ak-47.net
ar15.com

All have exceptional builder forums. Off the shelf hardware may be banned but ingenuity certainly won't.

It would probably pay for me to visit my uncle's machine shop one of these days... They specialize in large contracts for precision machined parts, but I'm sure they could crank out a few smaller items.

Try clearing all cookies then log-in.

For some reason this site & weaponeer are flaky the first few time you try.
