'KATRINA' FIREARM PROTECTIONS' (This one needs support to be passed)

In California, the Governor must actively veto legislation sent to him within 30 days to prevent it from becoming law. If he ignores the bill, it becomes law by default at the end of that period.

You did read the bill right? It's to make sure Mil/LE can NOT take our legally owned firearms in the case of an emergency like Katrina. Appearently Mil/LE enacted a firearms seizure law during Katrina. This bill would keep that from happenening.

What's the polling #? The only phones that i saw listed were the office of the Gov. & branch offices.

hmm i'm not sure, I called my local Los Angeles number and a woman answered, I asked for the automated polling # and she asked which bills I was calling about and if I was for or opposed. I answered, with each bill and if I was for or opposed and she thanked me and sadi this info is now in the system.

Still looking for the actual automated phone polling # though.

theyve been trying to ban lead projectiles for a while now. they got the condors sick because a while after the rounds would be discharged the condors would see a shiny pellet. they would go and eat the lead pellets and become sick. it's not our fault birds are that stupid.

The lead is supposedly ending up in game birds and hunter killed carcasses that the condors feed upon.

Here's the deal. This post was to get CA residents of legal voting age to call the CA Governer and voice their opinion over these bills. Your posts had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with that.

If anyone actually has something of value to add to this thread (like status of this bill), just pm me or 1 of the other mods to re-open.
