I'm getting into USPSA 3gun and tactical 3gun in april/may when it starts back up around here and am trying to figure how to gear up.

The Tac. division limits me to: basically a stock handgun, Rifle with 1 optic and a shotty with no optics

I'm not sure which yet but i'm going to shoot open sight rifle in 1 division

I'm going to use the same guns for both classes and just switch rifle optics with QD mounts.

So, if you were setting up 3 guns what would they be?

Handgun: Gun, holster

Rifle: Gun, caliber, length, optics, sights, sling etc....

Shotty: Gun, sights, accessories etc......

Give me your ideas on setup

I would use what you already have to get started. Then try different guns/ accessories to find out what suits you

Thanks for the link it is very helpful.

I'm gonna use stuff I got, I'm just unsure of what gadgets to use.
I would get a IDPA approved holster, you don't want it to fall out while you are running. A glock 17 or 2011 in 40 would work nice

I think 18" AR is the more popular rifle, full length gas system with hard sights, not buis. I like the Eotech for optics, priced right and allow fast acquisition at all rangers. I have shot a few trijicon. very nice, but priced out of my range

Shotty maybe a rem 1100. you can carry the shells on the gun, arm or belt, or all 3 depending on your preference. shotgun matches are won or lost on the reload, so find what is fastest for you
