So Unabomber from Nabisco posted this in a candlepower forum and I thought it would be cool for you Gunatics.

This could be the making of a serious weapon light!

200 lumens for $60!
Here is what you do:
Surefire G2 $30
Surefire AN14 $6
Surefire B65 $4
Surefire P91 $20
Surefire G2Z bezel (optional)

Swap out the bezels. Pyrex is better insurance against the added heat, but not totally necessary I suppose. Put in your P91. Add the extender to your G2 body. Drop in 3 123 batteries. Saw off the appropriate amount of B65 to make a custom spacer. Put on Tail cap. Enjoy 200 lumens of power!

if you didnt want to buy the surefire C3 ($139) or P3 ($79) plus the $25 P91 lamp assembly

That's pretty ingenius. I would wonder if you kept extending it to 12 or 15 or 18volt, if the xenon bulb would just "pop" ;P
Probably. Surefire doesn't make the small bulb format beyond 9 volts. The higher voltage lights use a differently shaped bulb and reflector pattern.

Nice - I was wondering HTF you were suposed to cut a battery.

If you have converted your 6P, Z2, or C2 to a rechargeable flashlight with the KR2-BK kit, and wish -- or need -- to temporarily use 123A lithium batteries instead of the rechargeable B65 battery, you'll need to drop a Z29 into the flashlight in order to take up the extra space left when the B65 is removed. The Z29 is actually a solid piece of machined aluminum that acts as a simple conductor.

nope - i am sure i might be able to dig some up

i was testing an M6 - 250 lumens and a C2 - 65 lumens at the range - though they are not the same reflector the difference in brightness was intense! The M6 got hot as hell too!

btw - i checked and SW had all the parts in stock for about the same price as internet cost.

I will try this and post pictures here. I hope the G2Z bezel isnt required because I dont have one lying around. You guys sure the P91 lamp assembly will fit the G2 bezel?

u dont need the G2 bezel - just upgrade to the Z19 Pyrex lens

and yes the P91 will fit in the G2

the difference from the P60 and P91 is voltage not size

lamp assembles are in!!!!!

ok this may sound a little strange - but you can visually tell the difference from the 85 lumen InovaT3 and the 105 lumen C2

however its very difficult to capture the 20 lumen difference with a camera

the best thing i can tell you is the extra 20 lumens is totally worth it, especially when you illuminate the ceiling to view the entire room

here is the modified C2:

here is the standard C2 next to an Inova T3
