Many people don't like the single point slings due to the fact that when you kneel, the muzzle can and does tend to stick in the ground.

For that reason, people tend to prefer a two point sling like this one:

Yes the Vicker's or Viking Tactical Slings are the ones to look at.

The are both 2 point tactical slings and operate under the same principles. The difference being the buckles used. Meh... a video speaks 1000 words.

stick in the ground? just by going to a kneeling position? really? i used a chalker for airsoft (all outdoor play) and loved it. when ever i went to a knee i just moved the rifle.

Don't get me wrong, I like those tactical style slings and have a hillbilly rigged 3 point on my Saiga, but they're not SLINGS. They are carrying straps.

    This is a sling.

    AR-15 Sling Recommendations?

So I've only ever dealt with the standard USGI sling and the M1907 style target slings.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good tactical sling?

I think I'd prefer either a 2 or 3 point as I like to use a hasty sling at times for more stable shooting.

    Thanks

    Either the Viking Tactical VTAC
    http://www.vikingtactics.com/prod_sling_VTAC-MK1-a.html

    or the SpecOPsBrand Patrol Sling

Operationally they're very similar, price, color and personal preferences are going to be the deciding factor.
