Ben, Already a sling diuscussion so merging your threads.

Here's a list of 1-2 point convertible slings.

    Magpul - MS2 Sling
    Emdom - Gunslinger Sling
    BDS - Dual Sling

These give you the flexibilty of a 1 point, but quickly convert to 2 point so you can cinch the rifle close to your body.

I have both the Magpul and Emdom slings and they work well on AR type of rifles.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try to look at them too. I guess a 1-2 point convertible sling would be pretty versatile.

Here's a video on the Magpul MS2 Sling. The Emdom and BDS slings operate in a similar way:

there is a thread out there regarding:

    http://www.urbanertslings.com/

i just got a 2 point sling from this guy

first impression - is very high quality, super fast shipping and very knowledgable guy

afer install - this sling system is AWSOME!

it moves freely, holds the weapon tight and converts fast on my SIG 556

cause of the wide shoulder strap area the sling is very comfortable to wear

Any updates from people on their slings? I ordered a VTAC sling from LaRue (comes with swivels) but haven't tried it out yet. It came today, looks quality built.
