Anyone know of a good "tactical" butt stock for my AR?

I've been looking at magpul stocks, and they all do their thing and I assume work great, but damn, they are ugly as hell. I want something that works flawlessly, collapses, possible cheek rest and want it to look nice too!

I've had the standard AR-15 butt stock, 6 position, and 4 position stocks. The 4 position worked the best due to its simplicity and weight, or lack thereof.

Do you guys have any suggestions for something that meets my criteria?

Come on gunnies! Lets use our hive mind, then later maybe we can take over the world.

    Thanks in advance!

I like the Vltor stock and LMT type stocks, fantastic cheek rest and I store things in the storage space. Parts, batterys, cheese sticks.

Trouble is some people have to get used to the feel of them or just hate them and say they look like erector sets.

You would need to shoot or feel a rifle with it on there before I would say buy.

Can it be take over world tim now?

I had this one before and didn't really like it.

Also, I want to make this AR-15 a little different from the norm and have stuff that hardly anyone else does... Thats the great thing about the UBR... but damn, almost $300 for a stock. Here's a list of my priorities:

    1. Functionality above and beyond
    2. Comfort
    3. Looks, the more aggressive the better
    4. originality, I want something that not many have seen in real life

If worse comes to worse, I'll get the Magpul UBR since it looks nice, but it's heavy as hell and is a bit pricey for a stock.

Come on gunnies, I know you can do it!

PS: Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it. I'm so out of the loop when it comes to stocks.

Alternatives to Magpul stocks are as Cat mentioned.

    Vltor Modstock - http://www.vltor.com/carbine-modstock.htm
    Vltor EModstock - http://www.vltor.com/emod.htm
    Vltor Rifle Modstock - http://www.vltor.com/rifle-modstock.htm
    LMT SOPMOD Stock - http://www.lewismachine.net/product.php?p=46

    also

    ACE Skeleton Style - http://riflestocks.com/catalog/produ...roducts_id=186

Choate E2 (Similar in look to whats used on the HK417) - http://www.riflestock.com/catalog_pa...5&NewProduct=0

Ironstone Buttstock, Very hitman-esq, but expensive - http://www.ironstone.us/products.htm

CAA has a bunch, though I've heard mixed views of quality:

Only ones I've used personally are the Magpul, Vltor, ACE and LMT stocks. they all serve their purpose

ORCA, you amaze me beyond amazement!

I LOVE the ACE skeleton style stock, however, since it folds I thought it would for sure be illegal in CA... if its not, I'm all over that like white on rice!

I sware I have seen an ACE style stock on your AR in a picture..

Yeah, alot of those CAA things are Iffy.. the ones that are well built are very heavy.

    Just saw this on ACE.

    Naw, def wasn't my AR.

Also, thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

On a different note, I bought a bushnell holosight today... it's the low profile model that takes 2 AAA batteries. Works really great thus far, can't wait to take it to the range!
