    I'll bite...

I use the Spec Ops Brand Over-Armour vest ( http://www.specopsbrand.com/ProductD...p?ProductID=40 ) for work, and have been happy with it so far. It's very basic (no drag handle, no integrated hydration pouch), but with that simplicity comes greater configurability.

If Spec Ops weren't the only company who produces gear in true khaki color, I'd likely have gone with the Blackhawk Strike Omega vest. ( http://www.blackhawk.com/product1.asp?P=37CL36 )

One thing you ought to know about any of the Big Tactical Nylon companies (Eagle, Blackhawk, Tactical Tailor, etc.) is that their gear doesn't fit smaller folks all that well. I'm 132cm tall, 57kg and at their smallest adjustments, most vests BARELY fit me unless I'm wearing body armour. If you're in the same size range or smaller, you may want to consider some of the Blackhawk knock-offs made by Intruder Shop or Gaurder.

    Peace,
    Hans

Seriously... Take some time and research this on your own. Come back and ask us specifics if you find anything of interest to YOU. There are way too many gear manufacturers out there. For under $150, you can get almost any Chinese Knock Off copy of real tactical gear with pouches. But for that same price you won't find too many "Real" vests of any decent quality and get poucehs too.

It's just amazing to me how people post in forums how they want everyone to feed them info w/o them doing a little bit of research. It's YOUR money and will ultimately be YOUR decision on what you buy.

Now you stated you NEED to buy a MOLLE vest. Are you getting deployed to Iraq tommorow? Why need? If you are being deployed to Iraq or a situation where you actually NEED a vest, I would hope you had some more options then under $150.00's.

BTW there is no 1 BEST MOLLE vest on the market since they are mission specifc.

i really liked my OMEGA when i had it

    http://www.blackhawk.com/product1.asp?P=30EV03

OD green of corse. It has the MOLLE/ALLICE type rigging on the back. they have a few variations. i used the one i posted, but after about 3 months realized that i could have gone with more pockets and less mags. but i would rarely shoot more then 50 rounds a game, unless we got into some serious shit or just plain fucked up, in which case i was borrowing mags.

Vest are fore noobs go web gear cheaper and better for long game play because of its lighter weight, and it doesn’t trap heat. Most importantly you look so bad ass (admit it you only like airsoft because it lets play army without the weird looks.)

While web-gear does potentially allow for greater overall storage capacity when double-and triple-mag pouches are involved, LBV's have several distinct advantages:
    1. Most of the pouches are easily accessible, as they're on the front of one's torso. Getting to all of the pouches on web gear may involve getting all Chubby Checker and doing the twist.
    2. Most LBV's have an integral slot for a hydration bladder. While Blackhawk does make an H-harness with a hydration carrier, the premium they charge for it negates the lower overall cost of web gear.
    3. For airsoft purposes, having the gear on your front turns it into defacto body armour; not a bad thing for those of us concerned with continuing our careers as A&F models.

You seem to imply that a vest has a limited carrying capacity, making it unsuitable for an extended game. My SpecOps vest is outfitted with a bladder carrier, 2 x SAW pouches, 2 x Knife pouches 2 x M-16 double mag pouch, 2 x logistics pouch (slightly smaller than a SAW pouch with all sorts of nifty internal dividers) and 1 x radio pouch. It contains sufficient equipment and supplies to keep me alive and treating patients for up to three days.

Web gear is neat and certainly has its place, but one oughtn't dissmiss vests so quickly.

I’m willing to admit you have a point if you admit web gear is cooler.

Something very important to consider while getting a MOLLE vest- if your planning to add your own pouches, its gonna be a lot harder to get everything positioned right unless you know what your doing, if you have the time and patience to tweak with it however, youll wind up with something more suited to your style of play.
