One thing I have decided I think is 9mm for sure. It would just be for use at the range and home defense. Thoughts?

The Italians have a saying. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." And although they've never won a war or mass-produced a decent car, in this area they are correct.

Everyone should have a 9mm. Save the bigger bores for later acquisitions. I must disagree with Brucie though. The 10mm trumps the 45acp as the ultimate mass production round. But hold on toy ur ass for the price of the stuff. It is a 40 S&W with roid rage.

A good 9mm will do just fine for personal defense. Something like the Federal HST in 9mm will stop most threats.

Always have to make a quip about the gun you own... Buy my M&P has been pretty noice right out of the box. Points very good for me even when using different grips.

If I was only going to have one pistol, It'd be a Glock. It just works, and will be as accurate as you are. I'm a 1911/Hipower guy, and it pains me to recommend a plastic gun, but the Glock just works.

CDNN has Steyr M-a1 pistols in 9mm and .40S&W for ~340 each +$20 flat rate shipping to your FFL holder. I picked up 2, 9 and .40 right before the shipping rate went up to $20. Best gun bargains I've encountered for NIB guns. They might not be able to ship to Cali though.
great gun if you have small hands, much lower perceived recoil than the FNp-40 and Glock-23 that I tested.
