CC for P3AT - belt clip only?

I just picked up a P3AT about 3 weeks ago. I'm licensed to carry but my USP .45 compact is just too bulky, though others might disagree. I picked up a belt clip that bolts directly onto the P3AT, which allows me to tuck it inside my jeans in the small of my back, with the clip on the outside around my belt.

It's very comfortable and doesn't print at all, even with just a thin undershirt, because the gun is so small and almost entirely on the inside of my jeans. I'm wondering if there is anything else I should consider. I know I will need to oil it a little more often and I'm just a little wary of the trigger being "in the open", albeit in an unlikely place to catch on anything.

I echo what McCrackin said above. A gun that is to be carried should ALWAYS reside in a holster of some sort.

I'm with 'Crackin and wink on this one. Unlikely doesn't mean impossible.

Might I suggest one of the pocket carry holsters from Galco or DeSantis.

Thanks for the suggestions, this one from Galco looks perfect. I think I will pick one up and give it a try.

Good call on the Galco. Galco makes great holsters. DeSantis is also a great option and slightly less expensive than Galco.

I have that holster and do not like it at all, the clip is plastic and flemsy and the holster is too soft and almost impossible to reholster the gun without taking the holster out. I would suggest spending more money and getting a high noon holster like this one,

    http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Prod..._mr_softy.html

    or

    http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Prod...are_asset.html

if you prefer a cant, neither one of these cost much more than the galco mentioned but are much much better products.
